Drive: one home for your files and everything your agents create

We are announcing Latere Drive, live at drive.latere.ai. It looks like a file drive on purpose: a personal space, spaces for your team, folders, previews, sharing. What is new is who else works there:

Your agents. Drive gives the work you do with agents one durable home, where your files stay yours, agents see only what you allow, and everything an agent makes is saved, kept separate, and easy to review.

The mess agents leave behind

Give an agent real work and it produces real output: drafts, results, notes to itself, things it wants to remember for next time. Today that output lands wherever the agent happened to be standing. It gets mixed into your own folders, or it disappears when the session ends, or it piles up somewhere nobody can explain six months later.

Two things go wrong at once. The agent forgets, so every session starts from zero. And you stop trusting your own folders, because a folder that mixes your work with agent output is a folder you have to double-check.

Drive fixes both by refusing to mix them.

What you get

Files: yours. Your files stay your files. Agents cannot write into them, and out of the box they cannot even see them. You choose what to show, folder by folder: open your website project to a coding agent, keep your finances invisible. Showing an agent a folder is a switch you flip, not something the agent decides.

Agent zone: theirs, in plain sight. Everything agents make lives in its own zone: working files, plus the notes they keep so the next session starts where the last one stopped. Several agents can update those notes at the same time without stepping on each other. You can read all of it whenever you like, and you cannot accidentally edit it, so what the agent did stays exactly as the agent did it. No slop in your folders, and no mystery about where it went.

Workspaces: folders you share with a running agent (coming). A workspace will be a live folder that an agent's Cella workroom can open: drop a file in from your browser and the agent sees it, the agent saves results and you see them in Drive right away, and when the workroom closes the folder and everything in it are still there. Mounting a Drive folder into a running agent is the piece still being built; everything else here is live today.

Sharing that fits real teams. Share with a person, your whole org, a team, a role, an email address, a link, the public, or no one at all. Sharing outside your organisation asks an admin first, so the first external leak requires a decision, not an accident. People you share with get a clean viewer page that works even if they have never heard of Latere.

And the everyday things are simply there: quotas so nothing runs away, a trash you can restore from, stars, previews, and an admin view for the people who look after the org.

For the builders

Every project in Drive can also be a real git repository, hosted at a friendly address:

Personal handles and org names work the way you would expect from GitHub-style hosting. Setup is one command: latere auth login signs you in and quietly configures git for drive.latere.ai, so git clone and git push just work. No access tokens pasted into URLs, nothing secret left in your shell history.

Why this shape

The Latere position on agents has one principle: the human stays in the loop. Drive is what that principle looks like for the things you keep.

Agents remember, because their notes have a durable home instead of vanishing with the session. You keep authorship, because "I made this" and "an agent made this" is built into where things live, not something you reconstruct later. And everything an agent produces can be reviewed, because you can read every file in the agent zone even though nothing can silently rewrite it.

Cella is where agents work. Lux is how they reach AI models. Drive is where everything worth keeping ends up.
